Abstract: The study explored the effects of different soil,different seasons and different growing periods on the biological activity of Kosteletzkyavirginica. The extract of the root tuber of salinized perennial K.virginica, chosen as the optimized experiment materials,was put into the hyperuricmia mice modeling by intragastric administration.Indicators of the mice,including blood uric acid and blood sugar were tested.The results showed that the serum uric acid and blood sugar of mice modeling have been reduced significantly,especially de-sugaring modeling.The study demonstrated the evident effect of the root power of K.virginica, analogous to allopurinol,on decreasing blood uric acid and blood sugar,providing a new perspective of the development of natural medicine against gout and hyperuricmia.
