Abstract: The objective of this study was to explore the effect of different treatment methods on the antioxidant activity of Lycium bararum polysaccharides (LBP). Organic solvent dehydration method, freeze drying method and macroporous resin decolorizing method were used to prepare different LBP samples.Antioxidant activities of LBP were compared by DPPH radical and hydroxyl radical scavenging experiments. The results showed that all of LBP prepared with three different treatment methods had some antioxidant activities and their free radical scavenging capacity existed a significant difference (P<0.05).Sample III prepared by macroporous resin decoloration method showed the highest elimination rate with 62.46% on DPPH·,and sample II treated by freeze drying method showed the highest elimination rate with 92.02% on OH·.The results suggested that different treatment methods may have effects on the bioactivity of LBP.
