Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to study the antioxidant activities of sterile fermented liquid of single culture and co-culture of five strains of endophytic fungi of Fritillaria unibracteata var. wabuensis by using the method of DPPH radical scavenging,ABTS radical scavenging and the ability of FRAP iron reduction, and the antioxidant activities of the petroleum ether extract (30-60 ℃),ethyl acetate extract,n-butyl alcohol extract of high active combinations were tested, respectively. At the same time,Vc was used as positive control. The results showed that three co-culture fermented liquid, including 4WBY1+WBS019,6WBY3+WBS019 and WBS019+WBS020,showed significantly higher antioxidant activity than that of single culture in at least two antioxidation assays. It was also found that the antioxidant activities of ethyl acetate and n-butanol extracts of previous three combinations were stronger. The DPPH free radical clearance rate of ethyl acetate extract (1.8 mg/mL) of WBS019+WBS020 co-culture combination reached to 74.38%±0.65%.The ABTS radical scavenging efficiency of n-butyl alcohol extract (IC50=0.25 mg/mL) of 6WBY3+WBS019 co-culture combination was near to that of vitamin C (IC50=0.07 mg/mL).The Fe3+ reduction abilities of all extracts of previous three combinations were weak and much lower than that of positive control. These results showed that the endophytic fungi co-culture had potential value under appropriate conditions.
