Abstract: Six known compounds were isolated from the fermentation products of the deep-sea derived fungus Alternaria tenuissma DFFSCS013.These compounds were identified as tricycloalternarene J (1),tricycloalternarene 2b (2),tricycloalternarene 1b (3),tricycloalternarene 6b (4),tricycloalternarene 3b (5),and tricycloalternarene 1a (6) by spectroscopic analyses. All of them were tested for antibacterial and antifungal activities.Only compound 5 showed obvious inhibition activity against the growth of Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, while other compounds showed weak activity against indicators at 100 μg/dics.This is the first time to report the antibacterial activity of compounds 1-2 and 4-5 and the antifungal activity of 5.

Key words: deep-sea derived fungus, Alternaria tenuissma, tricycloalternarene
