Abstract: The secondary metabolites of strain Colletotrichum sp.SCSIO KcB3-2,an endophytic fungus obtained from mangrove plant Kandelia candel, were investigated. The extracts were purified by comprehensive chromatography methods of silica gel column,ostade-cylsilane (ODS),and semipreparative HPLC.The structures of the compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic analysis, and comparison with the reported data.Fourteen compounds were obtained and identified as 4-hydroxybenzaldehyde (1),4-(2-hydroxyethyl)phenol (2),4-hydroxyphenethyl acetate (3),1-(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane-1,2-diol (4),4-(2-hydroxy-1-methoxyethyl)phenol (5),1-phenylethane-1,2-diol (6),2-amino-3-phenylpropan-1-ol (7),methyl 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetate (8),2-(2-hydroxyethyl)phenol (9),3-chlorogentisyl alcohol (10),4-hydroxymellein (11),diaporthin (12),cyclo-(L-Phe-L-Leu) (13),and cyclo-(D-Phe-L-Ile) (14),respectively.Compounds 3-14 were isolated from endophytic fungus obtained from mangrove plant Kandelia candel for the first time.
