Abstract:

In order to search for fungal metabolites with various structures and cytotoxic activities, the metabolites of Trichothecium roseum solid fermentation were isolated and purified by various chromatographic techniques.Five diterpenoids were obtained from the fermentation broth of Trichothecium roseum, their structures were identified as one new diterpene compound, melanocane F (1) and four known compounds, rosenonolactone (2),desoxyrosenonolactone (3),rosonolactone (4) and 2α-hydroxyisocupressic acid (5) by the analysis of spectroscopic data including HR-ESI-MS,1H NMR and 13C NMR.All compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity on MCF-7 cells. As a result, compounds 1 and 5 showed the most significant inhibitory activity on MCF-7 cells.

Key words: Trichothecium roseum, secondary metabolism, ent-pimarane, cytotoxic activity
