Determination of 4-Hydroxyacetophenone and 2,4-Dihydroxyacetophenone in Cynanchum atratum Bge. by HPLC

Abstract:

An HPLC method was established for assays of 4-hydroxyacetophenone and 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone in Cynanchum atratum Bge.. Analysis was carried out on ZORBAX SB-C18 (4.6 mm ? 250 mm, 5 mm) column with methanol-0.1% acetic acid (35:65), at flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The detection wave length was 275 nm. Linear correlations of 4-hydroxyacetophenone and 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone were good in the ranges of 1.04-104.00 ?g/mL (r=0.9999) and 0.25-25.00 ?g/mL (r=0.9999). The average recoveries were 95.40% and 93.28%, and RSD were 3.71% and 1.63%, respectively. This method was simple, accurate, reproducible, and suitable for the determination of C. atratum Bge.
