Abstract:

Stachys floridana schuttl. ex benth, also named yinmiao, a species of genus Stachys. And it is a special and traditional Chinese vegetable which can use as food and medicine. Yanshi city is the main origin with production over 95%. In this paper, the optimum extraction conditions of stachyose from yinmiao were studied by Response surface methodology (RSM). The results showed that the optimum extraction conditions for stachyose yield from yinmiao were as follows: extraction temperature 60 ℃, extraction time 40 min, ethanol concentration 60%, and ratio of liquid-solid 10:1. At these conditions, the yield of stachyose was 46.8924%. In conclusion, RSM was successfully applied to determine the optimum extraction conditions for stachyose from yinmiao.
