Abstract:

The conditions and methods of using Bupleurum chinese adventitious root system to produce saikosaponins were studied through adding precursors, accelerators and high sucrose concentrations. The results showed that the addition of proper concentrations of magnesium sulfate, potassium nitrate, sodium pyruvate and sucrose in medium had the effects on biotransformation and biosynthesis of saikosaponins. The most suitable components were 1/2 MS medium adding 0.37 g/L magnesium sulfate,5.7 g/L potassium nitrate,2.0 mmol/L sodium pyruvate and 50 g/L sucrose,in which the saikosaponins were enhanced 9.74 times.
