Chemical Constituents of Foeniculum vulgare Mill.

Five known compounds were isolated from the roots of Foeniculum vulgare Mill.. On the basis of MS and NMR analysis, these compounds were determined as dillapiol (1),sucrose linoleate (2),3R,8S,9Z-falcarindiol (3),β-sitosterol (4),and stigmasteryl-β-D-glucopyranoside (5),among which two compounds (2 and 3) were obtained from this plant for the first time.
