Abstract: (6aR,11aR)-Trifolirhizin was isolated and purified from the root extracts of Trifolium pratense and structurally characterized mainly by NMR spectra. Its anesthetic activity was tested by bioassay methods with the juvenile stage 2 (J2) nematodes. The results showed that (6aR,11aR)-trifolirhizin had anesthetic effect on Ditylenchus destructor, and the anesthetic activity had close relationship with its treated concentrations and time.

Key words: Trifolium pratense L, (6aR,11aR)-Trifolirhizin, Ditylenchus destructor, anesthetic activity
