Abstract: This study was conducted to investigate the anti-aging effect of Yanshuai mixture (YSM).The subacute aging model mice were induced by D-galactose injected subcutaneously. At the same time, low, medium and high dose of YSM were administered intragastrically once daily for 10 weeks.Signs of aging were observed. The Moriss Water Maze test was used to evaluate the learning and memory function. The levels of T-AOC,T-SOD,and MDA in the serum and brain tissue were measured. Results show that YSM shortened the escape latency of the aging model mice, while prolonged the original platform quadrant swimming time significantly compared with the model group (P<0.05).High dose of YSM increased the T-AOC,SOD activites of the aging model mice, and decreased the MDA content significantly (P<0.01).It is indicated that YSM can improve the learning and memory ability and increase antioxidative capacity of aging mice, which may has a good anti-aging effect.
