Abstract: In order to study the anti-fatigue effect of carboxymethyl-pachyman (CMP) on mice, healthy male mice were randomly divided into 5 groups including control group, positive control group,CMP groups at low, medium and high doses(35,70,140 mg/(kg bw·d)).All the five groups were treated by gavage for 30 consecutive days. The loaded swimming time, the contents of blood urea nitrogen and blood lactic acid were measured. The results showed that CMP could significantly prolong the loaded swimming time of mice (P<0.05);CMP at medium and high doses could reduce the contents of blood urea nitrogen, blood lactic acid and increase the activity of SOD in liver (P<0.05).CMP have an excellent antifatigue effect on mice and its mechanism may be related to reducing the contents of blood urea nitrogen, blood lactic acid and increasing the activity of SOD in liver.
