Abstract: Ten compounds were isolated from the fermentation liquid of endolichenic fungus Myxotrichum sp.by column chromatography on silica gel, recrystallization, sephadex LH-20 and HPLC methods.Their structures were elucidated as ergosterol (1), (3β, 5α, 8α, 22E, 24R)-5,8-epidioxy-ergosta-6,9(11), 22-trien-3-ol (2), ergosterol peroxide (3), Altechromone A (4), 7,8-dihydro-7,8-dihydroxy-3,7-dimethyl-2-benzopyran-6-one (5), 7-hydroxy-2-(2-hydroxypropyl)-5-methylchromone (6), Anhydrofulvic acid (7), Citromycin (8), (–)-2,3-dihydro citromycetin (9),citromycetin (10) by physico-chemical property and spectroscopic data. The cytotoxicity assay of compounds 4-10 shows all the seven compounds exhibit very weak cytotoxicity against human leukemia cell line K562 in vitro.
