Abstract: Eight compounds were isolated from the fermentation of mangrove Sonneratia apetala endophytic fungus Neofusicoccum sp. SaBA3 by using silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, MPLC,and PTLC. On the basis of 1D and 2D-NMR,ESI, and by comparison with reported data, their structures were identified as (3S*, 4S*)-3,4-dihydro-3,4,8-trihydroxy-6-methoxynaphthalen-1(2H)-one (1), 4,7-two methoxy-5-methy coumarin (2), ergosta -5,7,22-trien-3β-ol (3), 5α,8α-epidioxy-(22E,24R)-ergosta-6,22-dien-3β-ol (4), ergost-5-en-3-one (5), cholesterol (6),dimethy phthalate (7),and uracil (8 ).The compounds 2-8 are isolated from the genus Neofusicoccum for the first time.
