Abstract: The chemical components of essential oils from different parts of Imperial Chrysanthemum were identified by GC-MS,and the relative content of each component was determined by peak area normalization methods. The results were as follows:45,32,29 and 39 components were detected in leaf, stem, root and flower, respectively. In total,90 components were identified from the essential oils of four parts including olefins (48),alcohols (29),ketones (4),esters (3),oxides cervidae (3) and aldehydes (2).Only three common components were detected in all four parts of Imperial Chrysanthemum. In addition, the numbers of special components among four parts were 18,7,10 and 20 components, respectively.
