Abstract: To investigate the anti-inflammatory activity of Inula cappa extract from different solvents.Firstly, several parts with different polarity were acquired by enriching the compounds with D101 macro-porous resin. Then, cell inflammatory model and anti-inflammatory model of animal were established to find out the most effective anti-inflammatory part of I.cappa extract. After the D101 macroporous resin were washed using solvent with different polarities, five active constituents were got, including Fr.A,Fr.B,Fr.C,Fr.D and Fr.E.In addition, the washing part of 60% ethanol (Fr.E) showed a better anti-inflammatory effect comparing with others, whose activity of inhibiting the release of TNF-α and NO were 53.32±1.14,56.46±2.02,respectively.Furthermore,the inhibition of swelling rate of ear edema model of mouse was 54.81%.Therefore,the washing part of 60% ethanol (Fr.E) of I.cappa extract had the best anti-inflammatory effect.
