Abstract: In this study,mid-infrared spectroscopy was used to distinguish Radix scutellariae granule from different manufacturers.The original infrared spectra and derivative spectra of Radix scutellariae granule from six manufacturers were analyzed.The similarity of original spectrum of sample from same manufacturer was very big.The original infrared spectra and the first derivative spectra cannot distinguish different manufacturers,although some peak position,intensity and shape were different.The peak position,intensity,shape of the characteristic absorption peak of the second derivative spectra in 2914-2900,2887,1733,1500,1218-1206,994,763 cm^-1 were obvious different.The results showed that using second derivative spectra of sample can successfully identify Radix scutellariae granule of six manufacturers.This method is fast,simple,nondestructive,accurate and green.
