Advances on Chemical Constituents and Pharmacological Effects of Castanea mollissima Blume

Abstract: Castanea mollissima Blume was a kind of medical and edible plant with good healthful effect.It contained various chemical constituents such as triterpenoids,polysaccharides,flavonoid glycosides,volatile oil and microelement.The biological activities of C.mollissima included  antimicrobial,antidiabetic,antiinflamm- atory,anticoagulant,anticancer and antifatigue activity.In this paper,we summarize chemical constituents and pharmacological effects of C.mollissima,it provides a reference for further development and utilization of C.mollissima in medicine and functional foods.
