Abstract: In this paper, the contents of total polyphenols, flavonoids, chlorogenic acid and other polyphenols and the contents of GPA and AU in Eucommia ulmoides leaves were investigated.Cluster analysis, correlation analysis, principal component analysis (PCA),sorting and such mathematical statistical analysis methods were applied to investigate the correlation between the content of total polyphenol, flavones, chlorogenic acid, and ecological factors. The results showed that temperature and evaporation were the determining factors in the form of phenolic compounds,GPA and AU.The higher temperature and more evaporation could help to the accumulation of them in the leaves of Eucommia ulmoides Olive. And the content of effective state of iron, zinc, manganese and boron and pH in the soil showed positive correlation with the content of phenolic compounds. So that, the improvement of the secondary metabolites and the quality of leaves could be realized by planting at high temperature areas and evaporation appropriately or improving the content of iron, zinc, manganese, boron and adjusting pH in the practical production.
