Investigation report on distribution and comprehensive utilization of Gardenia jasminoides cultivar resources in China

Abstract: In order to understand the distribution and comprehensive utilization of existing cultivated G. jasminoides in China,this study investigated the distribution characteristics and production status of existing cultivated G. jasminoides in China by consulting the literature and field survey.The results showed that G. jasminoides in China are mainly distributed in Guangxi,Hunan,Jiangxi,Fujian,Zhejiang,Hubei,Henan,Sichuan,Chongqing and other provinces and cities,with an area of more than 17 000 ha,and an annual output of nearly 40 000 tons.The impact of price fluctuations,and the cultivation showed a downward trend,and the research on the protection of G. jasminoides resources,the screening of fine varieties,the standardized cultivation techniques,and the research on harvesting and primary processing technologies were all urgently needed.This study provides a theoretical basis for understanding,protection and forthputing of G. jasminoides cultivation resources.
