Cell models used in the study of anti-inflammatory activities of natural products

Abstract:

Cell-level activity screening technology is sensitive,rapid,economic,and efficient,and has become an important tool in the research of lead compounds.Due to the small amount of sample required,this technology is more suitable for the screening of natural products.Inflammation is a body defense response induced by external stimuli,and is related to the occurrence and development of a variety of diseases.So far,a lot of progress has been achieved in the researches on the screening and action mechanism of anti-inflammatory activity of natural products by the inflammation-related cell models.Taking the research of anti-inflammatory natural products as the starting point,this article summarizes the cell models that are currently widely used to screen natural products with anti-inflammatory activity,including mononuclear/macrophage,neutrophils and other major cell types,and their main characteristics,modeling methods and practical application,in order to provide certain reference for the research and development of such natural lead compounds.
