Abstract:

Millettia specisoa Champ.is usually used to stew soup,and prepare medicinal dishes and medicinal liquor in southern China.It owns the effects of tonifying the waist and kidney,and strengthening the muscles and bones.Clinical Chinese patent medicine,such as Zhuangyao Jianshen Pills,Qiangli Jianshen Capsules,and Jinji Hubu Pills,also contain M. specisoa.The main chemical components of  M. specisoa include triterpenoids,flavonoids,phenols,lignans and alkaloids.Modern pharmacological experiments show that  M. specisoa has a variety of bioactivities such as anti-oxidation,anti-inflammatory,and anti-fatigue and immunomodulation.In the present article,the chemical components and pharmacological activities of  M. specisoa are reviewed,which provides a scientific theoretical basis for further study and product development of  M. specisoa.
