Abstract: MTT assay was used to detect the effect of 2M3P(2-methyl-3-pentyl) prodigiosin on the growth of Eca-109 cells.Cell apoptosis was detected by V-FITC/PI Annexin double staining and flow cytometry.The results indicated that 2M3P prodigiosin exerted a significant inhibitory effect on Eca109 cell proliferation in a time and dose-dependent manner.IC₅₀ of Eca-109 cell after treated with 2M3P for 24,48,72,96 h were 1026.3180 μg/mL,435.2020 μg/mL,267.7096 μg/mL and 64.0734 μg/mL,respectively.Compared with cisplatin(DDP) in the intervention group,2M3P prodigiosin showed a more prominent role in the induction of apoptosis.The crude extract with the content of 2M3P prodigiosin higher that 30%,showed strong inhibitory and apoptosis inducing effects on proliferation of human esophageal cancer cell line Eca-109.
