Abstract: In order to further explore the functional characteristics of Chinese wild blueberry, anthocyanins were extracted from Chinese wild blueberry and purified by macroporous resin XAD-7.The effects of purified extract on the cells plate clone, proliferation, cell cycle, early apoptosis and ROS release were investigated to evaluate its anti-tumor activity against A549 cells,as well as its mechanism. The results showed that the viability of A549 cells was inhibited significantly after stimulation by Chinese wild blueberry anthocyanins. The half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) value was 176.652 μg/mL.It also had a significant effect on the cell cycle and can cause early apoptosis and ROS release.
