Chemical Constituents from the Seeds of Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze

Abstract: Twenty compounds were obtained from the seeds of Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze.Their structures were identified as(+)spathulenol(1),10αhydroxycadin4en15al(2),4(15)eudesmene1β,6αdiol(3),oplopanone(4),1β,12epoxy8α(S),9α(R)dihydroxycaryophyllene(5),cycloeucalenol(6),lupeol(7),ursolic acid(8),βamyrin(9),bonducellin(10),βsitosterol(11),5,6αepoxy5αstigmastan3βol(12),sitoindoside I(13),daucosterol(14),βsitosteryl linoleate(15),ethyl linoleate(16),1linoleoylglycerol(17),2(2hydroxyl methylphenyl)ethanol(18),gallic acid(19)and ethyl gallate(20),compounds 12,59,12,13,and 1518 were isolated from Caesalpinia spinosa Kuntze for the first time.
