Abstract: Fifteen compounds were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Viburnum congestum by various chromatographic methods.Their structures were identified as viburcongestin A(1),viburcongestin B(2),adoxoside(3),2′-(E)-p-coumaroyldihydropenstemide(4),3β,23-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid(5),ilelatifol A(6),11oxoerythrodiol(7),taxifolin(8),catechin(9),epicatechin(10),epicatechin-(7,8-bc)-4β-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-dihydro-2(3H)-pyranone(11),scopoletin(12),methylparaben(13),(E)-p-coumarinic acid ethyl ester(14),(E)-p-coumarinic acid(15),respectively,based on spectroscopic methods, including ESI-MS,1H and 13C NMR,IR,and UV techniques.Among them, compounds 1 and 2 were new compounds and compounds 5,6,11,and 12 were isolated from Viburnum genus for the first time.
