Abstract: Seven compounds were isolated from the ethyl acetate (EtOAc) extract of litters of Casuarina equisetifolia by the method of column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography.Their structures were identified as 3β-(p-Hydroxy-trans-cinnamoyloxy)olean-12-en-28-oicacid (1),3-O-(E)-coumaroylerythrodiol (2),casuarmondtol (3),alnusdiol (4),kaempferol3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranoside (5),4′′-trans-p-coumaroyl-kaempferol-3-O-α-rhamnopyranoside (6) and kaempferol (7) on the basis of physicochemical properties and spectroscopic evidence.Compounds 3,4,6 and 7 were obtained from Casuarina equisetifolia for the first time. The compounds were tested for cytotoxicity, acetylcholinesterase and α-glucosidase inhibitory activities by MTT,Elman and PNPG methods, respectively.Compounds 1 and 6 showed cytotoxic activity.Compounds 1-4 and 6 showed acetylcholinesterase inhibitory activity. In addition, compounds 1 and 3-5 exhibited α-glucosidase inhibitory activity.
