Abstract: This paper mainly summarizes the progress of traditional usage,chemical composition and pharmacological action of chrysanthemum.Chrysanthemum morifolium has been used as a Chinese medicinal and food homologous medicine since ancient times.It has been separated from Chrysanthemum morifolium into flavonoids,terpenoids,organic acids and other chemical components.It has many pharmacological effects,such as anti-bacterial,anti-inflammatory,analgesic, anti-cancer,lead-expelling and so on.In this paper,the research progress of its chemical constituents and pharmacological activities is reviewed,which provides a theoretical basis for further research and development.
