This study provides a powerful basis for the study of the chemical constituents and pharmacological research of the Mongolian medicinal materials Ixeridium chinense (Thunb.) Nakai through the domestic and foreign literature reports and the detailed summary.Through literature retrieval,the classification and research status of chemical constituents and pharmacological studies of Mongolian medicinal materials I. chinense were reviewed. I. chinense  contains many chemical constituents,including terpenes,triterpenes,steroids,flavonoids and their glycosides,as well as volatile oils,phenols and so on.And it has the functions of protecting liver,lowering blood lipid,antioxidation,anti-tumor,relieving cough and dispelling phlegm and health care.It provides a useful reference for the further study and development of Mongolian medicinal materialI.chinense.
