Study on chemical constituents of Euodia austrosinensis Hand-Mazz and their anti-inflammatory activity

Abstract:

The chemical constituents of aerial parts of Euodia austrosinensis were studied by various extraction and isolation techniques,and their structures were established on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectra.Thirteen compounds were obtained and identified as follows:limonin (1),6α-acetoxy-12α-hydroxyevocorolactone (2),12α-hydroxyevodol (3),12α-hydroxylimonin (4),graucin A (5),β-allocryptopine (6) ,rhetsinine (7),wildflowers element (8),bis(2-ethylhexyl) benzene-1,2-dicarboxylate (9),bejolghotin G (10),lynoiresinol (11),(-)-(7R,7′R,7′′S,8S,8′S,8′′S)-4′,4′′-dihydroxy-3,3′,3′′,5-tetramethoxy-7,9′:7′,9-diepoxy- 4,8′′-oxy-8,8′-sesquineolignan-7′′,9′′-diol (12),3′,6-dipropyl apigenin (13),among which compounds 6,8,9 and 12 were acquired from the genus Evodia for the first time, the other compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time.The inhibition rate of lactate dehydrogenase release of the compounds was tested.The results showed that compounds 13 had good inhibitory activity on LDH release,which indicated that 13 had certain anti-inflammatory activity.
