Determination of Cimicifugoside H-1 in Rhizoma Cimicifugae by RP-HPLC

Abstract: To establish an RP-HPLC method for determination of cimicifugoside H-1 in Rhizoma Cimicifugae. H&E XP ODS-A (4.6×250 mm, 5 µm) column was employed with acetonitrile-water-phosphoric acid (35:65:0.4) as mobile phase, the flow rate was 1.0 mL/min. The column temperature was set 26 ℃ and detection wavelength was set at 203 nm. The linear range of cimicifugoside H-1 was 0.95~28.5 µg, the correlation coefficient was 0.9999 and the average recoveries (n=6) was 99.35%. The method is simple, rapid and reliable, which can be regarded as a reasonable method for determining the content of cimicifugoside H-1 in Rhizoma Cimicifugae. The results can be supported as data bases for developing quality specification of Rhizoma Cimicifugae.
