Acidolysis Preparation of Diosgenin at High Pressure from the Cultured Plantlets of Dioscorea zingiberensis

Abstract

Abstract:

Acidolysis preparation at high pressure of diosgenin from the cultured plantlets of Dioscorea zingiberensis was studied by L₁₆(4⁵) orthogonal experiments. The effects of sample quantity, concentration of sulfuric acid, and extraction time were investigated. The results showed that diosgenin content of the plantlets reached 9.12 mg/g under the optimum extraction condition that was 25 mg of sample, 0.5 mol/L of sulfuric acid, and 2 h of extraction time.
