Abstract:

To study the effects of psoralen plus zinc on proliferation and differentiation of cultured osteoblasts in vitro. MTT ,PNPP and RIA were used to determinate the proliferation, the activity of ALP in osteoblasts and the level of BGP secreted from osteoblasts. Compared with the simple application of psoralen or zinc sulfate, psoralen plus zinc promoted the proliferation of rat osteoblast cells more distinctly after 48h and 72h incubation. The activity of alkaline phosphate Activity (ALP) was stimulated by psoralea and zine after 24h and 48 h and 72 h incubation. The osteocalcin level in the medium was increased by psoralea and zine after 24 h and 72 h incubation. Psoralen plus zinc has the effects of stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of cultured osteoblasts in vitro.
