Abstract:

Eleven compounds were isolated from the 70% acetone extract of Lysimachia clethroide Duby. On the basis of spectral analysis, they were identified as 23-hydroxyursolic acid (1), isotachioside (2), p-hydroxybenzoic acid (3), 3-methoxy-4-hydroxybenzoic acid (4), 3,4-dihydroxy benzoic acid (5), 3,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid (6), methyl α-D-fructofuranoside (7), uridine (8), β-sitosterol (9), daucosterol (10), and oleanolic acid (11). This is first report of the presence of compounds 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8 in the genus Lysimachia and 3, 5, 6, 9~11 in this plant.
