Abstract:

Ten compounds were isolated and purified from the 95% methanol extract in the leaves and twigs of Ficus hispida by repeated chromatography. On the basis of spectral methods, chemical analysis, and reference to the literature data, They were identified as α-stigmasterol (1), decane (2), lutein (3), ursolic acid (4), stigmasterol-3-O-α-D- glucopyranoside (5), 7-hydroxycoumarin (6), vanillic acid (7), oleanolic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (8), isocorydine (9), and protopine (10). Compounds 9 and 10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
