Abstract:

Six compounds were isolated from the EtOH extract of Salicornia bigelovii Torr.. They were identified as scopoletin(1), juniper camphor(2), hyperoside(3), quercetin(4), isorhamnetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(5), and β-sitosterol(6) based on the spectroscopic data. This is first report of the presence of compounds 1 and 2 in the genus Salicornia and 4 and 7 in this plant.
