Abstract:

An HPLC method was established to determine the content of kadsurenone in three kinds of Caulis Piper kadsurae. The sample was analyzed on ODS2 Column (4.6×250 mm, 5 μm), with the mobile phase of methanol-water (70:30), the detection wavelength of 280 nm, and the flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The linear range was from 116 to 1160 μg/mL for kadsurenone. The regression equation was Y=4561.1X–10927 (r = 0.9994) and the average recovery was 99.83% with RSD=1.08 % (n=6). The content of kadsurenone in P. kadsura, P. wallichii and P. hancei was 0.25%, 0.0057%, and 0.0014%, respectively.
