Abstract: Three compounds (1-3) were isolated from culture broth of Verrucosispora sp. FIM06031 from marine sponge by silica gel, sephadex LH-20 and C18 reversed phase column chromatography. On the basis of spectral data, they were identified as a novel sesquiterpenoid harrucomicin C (1), cyperusol C (2), and Nb-acetyltryptamine (3). Compound 1 showed prominent growth inhibitory activity against the tumor cell lines HepG2, EC109 and HeLa with IC50 values of 16.99 μM, 25.33 μM and 34.64 μM, respectivity in vitro by MTT assay, while 2 showed growth inhibitory activity against HeLa and HepG2 cells with IC50 values of 149.99 μM and 167.78 μM, respectively.
