Abstract: In this study, single factor and orthogonal tests were carried out for the optimization of water bath reflux extraction and ultrasonic-assisted reflux extraction of saponins from Lilium brownii separately. The optimal water bath reflux extraction conditions were:50% ethanol as extraction solvent,90 oC as extraction temperature,3 h as extraction time and 1:18 as solid-liquid ratio.Under these conditions, the extraction yield of saponins from L.brownii was 1.98%.The optimal ultrasonic-assisted reflux extraction conditions were:70% ethanol as extraction solvent,90 oC as extraction temperature,25 min as extraction time,1:30 as solidliquid ratio and 105 W as ultrasonic power.Under these conditions, the extraction yield of saponins from L.brownii was 2.33%.Compared with traditional water bath reflux extraction method, the stability, repeatability as well as the extraction yield of ultrasonic-assisted reflux extraction was better.
