Abstract: The chemical components of essential oil in leaves of Myricaria germanica was extracted by water stream distillation and analyzed by GC-MS.The relative content of each component was calculated by chromatographic peak area normalization method.Ninety chemical compounds were identified from the essential oil of M.germanica. The classification of the main components was as follows:24 of fat hydrocarbons (30.11%),11 of esters (16.6%),15 of aromatic hydrocarbons (17.31%),4 of fat alcohols (4.26%),2 of ethers (0.5%),3 of ketones (0.28%),6 of aldehydes (0.96%),3 of aromatic alcohols (2%),3 of thiazoles (1.75%),5 of phenols (1.55%),8 of fatty acids (2.06%),2 of alcohols (1.25%),1 of terpenoid (0.15%),and 3 of amides (1%).
