Abstract: In this study, several components with anti-angiogenesis activity were obtained from the n-butanol fraction of ethanol extract of Albizia julibrissin by solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled with preparative HPLC.The anti-angiogenesis effect and the composition analysis of the isolated components were monitored on HMEC-1 cells and by HPLC method, respectively. Finally, the component II-4 with higher anti-angiogenesis activity on HMEC-1 cells was obtained (IC50=1.45±0.11 μg/mL), and its composition was identified. The SPE-HPLC method was simple and fast, and can be used for rapid separation of Chinese herbal medicine at the same time it provided a reliable experimental materials for further separation of monomer compounds.
