Abstract: In this study, the anti-tumor effects of ginsenoside Rh4 on mice transplanted tumor were investigated. The mice with sarcoma S180 or hepatoma H22 were randomly divided into five groups:negative control group, positive control group, ginsenoside Rh4 high-dose group,middle-dose group and low-dose group.Ginsenoside Rh4 was peritoneal injected or intragastric administrated to mice. The implanted mouse model was used to observe the inhibitory effect of ginsenoside Rh4 on the transplantation tumor’s growth and the immune organ’s weight. After peritoneal injection or intragastric administration of Rh4 in all dose groups,it can inhibit the growth of S180 or H22.Using intragastric administration of Rh4 at the dose of 4.5 mg/kg,the tumor inhibition rate of bearing sarcoma S180 in mice were 47.84% (P<0.01),compared with the control group. The H22 tumor inhibitory rate were 52.72% (P<0.01) by peritoneal injection of Rh4 at the dose of 10.0 mg/kg.No evident changes were detected in their immune organs in the trial groups.
