Abstract: Thirteen compounds were isolated from the ethanolic extract of vine stems of Ampelopsis cantoniensis (Hook.et Arn.) planch.. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic analysis as resveratrol (1),5,7-dihydroxycoumarin (2),kaempferol (3),dihydroluteolin (4),quercetin (5),dihydrooquercetin (6),gallic acid (7),myricetin (8),dihydromyricetin (9),quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (10),myricetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (11),kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside (12),epicatechin-3-O-gallate (13).Except for compounds 8 and 9,the other compounds were obtained from this plant for the first time.
