Abstract: Nine compounds were isolated from the 70% ethanol extract of the Cinnamomum camphora leaves by Silica gel column chromatography, polyamide column chromatography, preparative TLC and other isolation techniques. These compounds were identified as dibutyl phthalate(1),l-asarinin(2),(8R,8′R)-3,3′,4,4′-tetramethoxy-9-oxo-8-8′,9-O-9′-lignans(3),quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(4),kaempferol-3-O-β-rutinoside (5),kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyr anoside(6),Quercetin-3-O-α-L-rhamnoside(7),rutin(8),isorhamnetin-3-O-β-rutinoside(9) on the basis of the spectral analysis and chemical evidence.Compounds 1,2,6 and 9 were isolated from Cinnamomum camphora Leaves for the first time.
