Abstract: The aim of this study was to obtain the optimal condition of ultrasonic-assisted extracting polysaccharides from Rosa roxburghii Tratt. On the basis of single factor test, the response surface methodology was applied to optimize the main extraction conditions. The results showed that the optimized conditions were:ultrasonic time 30 min, ultrasonic power of 120 W,liquid to solid ratio of 40 mL/g,extraction temperature of 80 ℃ and with 3 times extraction.Under these optimized conditions, the extraction yield of polysaccharide was 2.18%,exhibiting a good agreement with the predicted value.

Key words: Rosa roxburghii Tratt polysaccharides, ultrasonic extraction, response surface methodology
