Abstract: In this study, the limonoids was extracted from orange peel by low-temperature microwave radiation and solvent reflux extraction. The content of limonoids was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).The orthogonal experiment design was used to optimize the extraction conditions. In addition, the anthelmintic effect of the extract was tested on drosophila. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were:using ethanol as extraction solvent,pH of 5,extraction temperature of 50 ℃,extraction time of 120 min,material/solvent ratio of 1:12.Under the optimal conditions, the extraction yield of limonoids was 0.876 mg/g.Different concentrations of limonoids extract all showed anthelmintic effects on drosophila in time and concentration dependent manner. The effect of sample concentration was higher than the effect of time. When the concentration of extract reached 1.152 mg/mL,drosophila was all killed in 12 hours.
