Abstract: Many natural products,mainly from Chinese herbs,showed significant anti-hyperuricemia activity through decreasing the generation of uric acid by reducing the activity of xanthine oxidase or/and adenosine deaminase,and promoting the excretion of uric acid by regulating the expression of urate transporter.Here we reviewed the experimental research on pharmacological effect of anti-hyperuricemic natural products,expounding the pharmacological mechanism of treating hyperuricemia with the ingredients or the effective parts of natural products,providing reference for the study on anti-hyperuricemic new drugs and Chinese medicine treatment of gout.
