Chemical Components of Chrysanthemum morifolium (Ramat) Tzvel.cv.Chuju Volatile Oil and its Applications in Cigarette Flavoring

Abstract: In order to develop a new natural cigarette flavor,vacuum steam distillation,subcritical technology and molecular distillation were used to prepare Chrysanthemum Morifolium (Ramat) Tzvel.cv.Chuju volatile oils,respectively.The obtained oils were analyzed by GC/MS and applied in cigarette as a flavor.The results showed that:79 components in the volatile oils were identified,containing 8 kinds of organic acid,14 kinds of ketone,18 kinds of alcohol,25 kinds of olefin,7 kinds of ester and other components.The major components in the volatile oils were borneol,β-selinene,β-sesquiphellandrene,(E)-β-farnesene,3,3,6trimenthyl-1,5-heptadien-4-one,aristolene epoxide cyrd so on.The panel test demonstrated that the volatile oil can modify tobacco flavor,reduce undesirable taste,improve the smoothness and mildness.It can be used as a good natural cigarette flavor.
